My story

photo-002.jpg

More recently, I’ve worked with staff at ProCredit Bank’s training academy in Germany, delivering courses focused on practical workplace skills such as presentations, clear and concise communication, critical thinking, and logical argumentation. Every course I design is tailored to participants’ needs, creating an inclusive, productive, and enjoyable learning experience.

Alongside my work as a trainer, I run a small woodworking business, creating bespoke pieces using hand tools and time-honoured methods. I also teach woodworking workshops, sharing the value of working mindfully with natural materials. This hands-on, process-driven mindset carries through into my training work. I believe learning should be active, meaningful, and grounded in real practice.

Improv and Learning

A few years ago, I was introduced to the world of improv. Having already used role-play in my English classes, I was encouraged to explore courses with the supportive community at Dogface Improv in Norwich. Through regular practice, I quickly realised how powerful improv techniques can be in a learning environment. Today, I integrate these methods into my training to foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

Let’s Work Together

If you’re looking for training that is collaborative, engaging, and purpose-driven, I’d love to explore how we can work together to support your team’s goals.

My journey into training began in my early twenties, teaching English as a foreign language. In 2011, I completed the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) at International House Budapest, an intensive and highly formative experience that continues to shape how I approach learning and teaching today. The methodologies I learned provided a strong foundation, which I have since built upon to develop a highly flexible, engaging, human-centred training style. I’ve lived and worked in a range of cultural contexts, including Turkey, Italy, and Mexico. These experiences have deeply influenced my understanding of communication, collaboration, and learning across cultures, and they continue to inform how I design and deliver training.

FAQs

Do you have any teaching qualifications?

Yes, I gained my CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) in 2011. This gave me a great practical grounding for teaching groups of adults. I learnt using the Communicative Method of Teaching which is an approach focusing on real world interaction, in which communication is both the goal and the means of learning.

You have mentioned improv a lot. What is it?

Improv is a form of unscripted performance where participants create scenes, dialogue, and characters spontaneously in the moment. It emphasises listening skills, collaboration and quick thinking to build ideas together and keep the action moving forward.

How is it effective in a business setting?

Improv strengthens communication, adaptability, and active listening skills essential for dynamic workplaces. It also encourages creativity and team trust, helping groups respond more confidently and collaboratively to unexpected challenges.

Do you have to be an extrovert to do improv?

No, absolutely not. Anyone can participate and benefit from it. Improv builds skills like confidence, presence, and connection, making it just as valuable for introverts as for extroverts.

Where are the workshops held?

I can travel to your office or a nearby venue, whatever is most convenient for your team. I also offer online sessions, however I believe face to face is more effective.

How long are the workshops?

I offer stand-alone half-day and full-day workshops as well as multiple day courses, depending on the needs of your team.

What My Clients Say

"I found the improvisation tasks very useful. I definitely feel more secure about my speaking skills and pronunciation, and sounding professional has become much easier."

Roza Dumani, Business Officer

"I especially enjoyed the improvisation games, like storytelling with a conductor and the one-word-response game with the ball... the combination of structured learning, interactive activities, and a supportive teaching style had a significant positive impact."
